Is it constipation? Can anybody tell me how to prevent it? I have been feeding her with both breastmilk and formula.

  1. If you can try to give her just breastmilk - breast  milk has a natural laxative in it. Her stomach is probably having difficulties digesting both the formula and breast milk.

  2. Prune juice.

  3. You can give her pear juice and water, or apple juice and water once a day or whenever needed. That's what my doctor told me to do for my 2 month old!

  4. Babies get strangled on apple juice very easily so be careful giving that...even if you water it down....

If a 2 month old is constipated you won't get much of anything the diaper...so solid doesn't mean that. Maybe the formula is too hard on their tummy. Try just breastmilk or something that is gentler on them. A natural aid for constipation is apple juice, water might work too...some people use a little sugar in the water. GL

  5. Is it hard pellets?  Or just kinda solid?  Kinda solid is fine- and it's because of the formula.  To prevent it- just breastfeed.  That's not me being a "n**i"- that's just the answer to how to prevent formed stools.
