My 2 mutual funds and a roth ira have lost $1000 keep or trade?

USAUX $3000, USCRX $3000, USCGX $4000. i have had these for a year and none of them have gained anything. should i switch them out for some different ones or stick with my guns?

Well, I have never heard anyone tell me to sell low.

I continue to invest.  I have more than 20 years before retirement.  Now that the funds are down, you are getting the shares at a discount price.

I have about $130,000 in my 401(k) and have lost almost $8,000 this year!  But you gotta keep going.

My ROTH has lost a bunch too.

Ordinarily I would say look for something better, BUT in the current market nothing is safe from the current losses. Your best bet is to "ride it out"...maybe even add if you can stomach it.

It may take 3 to 5 years for you to see great results, but they will come.

USAA is "OK"  (I'd like some other mutual fund companies much more).

There are many Mutual Funds which have reverted their value to 2006 or worse.  That's just the way the market is right now.

Over the last 35+ years I've always added more money in the worse times.    It's always done well for me!

Rick B is correct ... everyone has cringed as we watched our long-term retirement investments lose ground and get pounded in this crazy market.  We are in a recession ... I'm sure you've heard that.  

Whatever you do don't sell ... I mean it, don't sell.  You will be sellling at the lowest value of your investments.  So hang in there.  If you invest in these funds automatically in a 401K at your job, just keep letting the money go in.  If you self-managed these funds, go to Morningstar.com to see what the premier fund rating system has to say about these particular mutual funds.
