  1. don't measure your babies intake feed her until she's full.  different bodies need different amounts. my 9 month old nephew drinks 8 oz bottles at a time and has for a long time.  my 7 month old drinks 5oz at a time and has for a long time.  as long as baby gets full, it doesn't matter.

if you are concerned, talk to your pediatrician

  2. shes in the middle of a growth spurt, so theres nothing wrong with feeding her how much she wants, just on the side of caution though if you plan to be a successful breastfeeder it is essential that you dont supplement with formula at this time so your body can produce more milk. Your body does produce the milk, even if you can't feel it its in there. The more you get your baby to drink the milk the more your body will produce more milk the next feeding. And sadly, the more you supplement with formula the more you can say bye bye to your breast milk supply and thus making it more difficult with the next growth spurt to be able to produce more milk.

  3. Your baby is 2 weeks old and you don't make enough milk?

Do you mind if I ask why/how you came to this conclusion?  I'm not being judgemental, just wondering what made you think you weren't making enough milk.  Perhaps we can get to the root of the problem and save you some money/hassles by avoiding formula....

  4. feed ur baby till its full if it eats to much it will throw up...

  5. dont worry abut it i know how you feel i had to do the same thing with my daughter...and dont be worried if her BMs go down to once or twice a day, its normal! and theyll turn a dark greenish pasty type lol just feed her until she stops eating...i worry all the time that my daughter, who is now four months old, is eating too much, but if i was breastfeeding i wouldnt know how much she was getting..so dont wrry! youll have enough stres and things you worry aout, let that one go! lol

  6. As long as her diapers are normal and she seems to be thriving , feed her if she's hungry.

  7. Newborn babies drink as much as they need and 3 oz is not uncommon. My little girl was drinking that much by the time she was 3 or 4 weeks. As long as she seems healthy you don't have much to worry about.

My gf also could not produce enough milk at the start but she got them to produce more by pumping out extra in between feeds. We left it in the fridge so that if she was hungry and the breast didn't have enough we had backup, and any extra we froze so that she could go out and I could take care of her. This is good cos formula is a real hassle.

Good luck and remember it will get easier in the next few weeks as they get used to being in the outside world and begin finding a routine. That is at least until they turn 2.....

  8. You probably DO make enough milk! She's probably having a growth spurt and that's why she seems hungry all the time. In order to establish your milk supply you must stop giving her formula and let her nurse as much as she wants.
