She stopped eating, doesn't fly around my caged lanai as she usually does in the morning, won't let me go near her & her f***s, although very little, is a watery yellow. She also looks kind of scruffy. I've been trying to feed her her favorite foods but she hasn't touched anything in 2 days. What to do?

  1. My best advise to you is get her to the vet ASAP. A bird that has not eaten for 2 days is going to be very weak and sick.

  2. You need to take your bird to a vet as soon as possible. I don't think this is anything you can do at home to make her better. Not eating anything for two days concerns me.  Please at least call an avian vet.

  3. Take her to the vet..

  4. take the poor thing to the avian vet as soon as soon as possible

  5. Due to years of instinctual behavior of not showing to be the weakest in a flock, by the time a bird is noticably ill usually it has not been feeling well longer than it has let on. Your bird should be seen by a professional avian vet ASAP.

She can be egg bound be accidentally poisoned from numerous things such as a plant or other toxicities, have an intestinal blockage or other numerous things hard to diagnose over the net. Simple over the counter avian antibiotics can possibly aggravate her situation if not used correctly.

I would take her to someone who is knowledgable now !

    Good luck.

  6. If there is a bird vet near you or a pet store, I would call and see what they say. They do have antibiotics for birds. Could your bird have gotton into something, a plant or food that would make him sick?
