  1. was she wearing tennis shoes? i remember that i stepped on a nail after hurricane katrina, and the doctor i saw not only gave me a tetanus booster, but put me on antibiotics as well. he said that people who get nails in their feet through tennis shoes (specifically) are more likely to develop a certain bacterial infection. you may want to see a doctor to be sure.

  2. As long as she's had her tetanus shot, she should be fine, but if it's a deep injury, I would recommend taking her to the doctor anyway. Better safe than sorry!

  3. Is the extra commentary about your personal life necessary from some of these a*****e answerers?? REALLY

Anyway i'd go to the doctor just to be on the safe side. Hopefully if something like this should happen again daddy will take her in right away!!

  4. Unless the nail was deep in the ground where there is a lack of oxygen and the wound was deep and did not bleed, you do not have much to worry about. Obviously clean the wound and keep an eye on it for infection, but tetanus dies when it hits air, so you do not have to worry about that.

  5. are you sure she had a Tetanis shot.  I would watch it really close, if it starts to get red around it, then get her to the docs.

  6. h**l Yeah!!! And she is two why hasn't she had her shots yet???

  7. Worry won't accomplish anything.

Concern if she hasn't had a tetanus shot, or if it's deep, however, may prompt you to take her to see a doctor - especially if it is warm / swollen / still bleeding or discoloured.

Perhaps reconciling with your mate might maximize time together, and minimize incidents like this.
