  1. nail polish remover or bleach

  2. You can try some acidic product that isn't going to harm your child....like lemon juice or vinegar.  Aside from that and some kind of harsh chemical agent, I think you might just have to let it wear off.

Oh, another idea might work.  Do you have any oxyclean powder?  If so, mix some up with water and have him "wash" his hands in that for a couple of seconds.  That shouldn't hurt his hands (like a bleach or something would).

Good luck.  Boys will be boys!

  3. You can use cleaning products to bleach it off (I once did a paint hand print and had to use bleach on my hands)...but unless it NEEDS to be off in the next few days, I would say to just let it wear off. You don't want to use harsh products on kids' skin if you can help it.

  4. Just smile and live with it. Chemicals and such aren't going to be a big help - the coloring has stained the skin itself (and chemicals to remove the stain are likewise going to remove some of the skin). Grated, it is the epidermis of the skin, and a few cells removed won't hurt, but why worry?

Bathe him well, and let him play in the soapy water for a while. He may be a prune, but it will help the epidermis come off (epidermis is the dead top layer of skin cells, in case you didn't know).

Other than that, don't forget to take a few photos with which to embarrass him in 20 years.  :)

  5. It will wear off in a few days - I accidently dyed my son's hands and feet purple while stamping them for a father's day gift last year.  It took about 3 days to be completely gone.  At least it's not his hair!

  6. It will wear off within a few days but using rubbing alcohol or non-acetone fingernail polish remover could help-just make sure you do it over the sink and wash his hands immediately after.  Another idea is that super power hand cleanser that guys (or ladies) use in like mechanic shops.  I think its called go-joe...my husband is a painter and swears it works really good-when he doesn't have any his back up is dawn dishsoap and sugar mixed like a body scrub.  Don't know if will work on food coloring but works on stain and paint!!

  7. it will come off in time, usually in a few days.
