  1. Everything you use must be perfume free that includes shampoos and conditioner and body wash.  Dove works ok for some.  My boys have sensitive skin too especially my 3 year old and the Dr said to never use anything with perfume in it as that will just make it worse.  Also make sure to use a creamy lotion (not the regular watery lotion) that stays on longer and is perfume free

  2. when i got my foster baby, holy moly he was covered in eczema and it was infected due to neglect. i tried all the rx's from the dr's but the only thing that worked for him anyway was tea tree oil. i rubbed it on day and after bath time. and in 2 weeks (even the one on his face that would never go away) was gone. its natural and you can get it at a health food store. the dr said dove because of the moisture (unsented). and if you can get a water softener for the house. you may need a medicated shampoo. good luck i know its hard to deal with when they are hurting or itches so bad.

  3. A family friend's 2 year old has eczema and he has some prescription from the doctor for it. However, in the meantime I'd say use as little product on it as you can. He probably doesn't need any soap in the bath at all, water will get him clean. Cetaphil makes a body wash that is good for very sensitive skin in case he gets really dirty.

  4. Aveno makes a Baby Body Wash for Eczema.  I have just started using it, so I can't tell you if it works or not, but it is not bothering my sons skin.  I put lotion on after every bath (eucerin) so that I can cut down on the eczema creams.  For his hair I like Paul Mitchel Baby Don't Cry shampoo.  You can find it in the food stores that sell salon products, or at the salon.  Any other shampoo gives my son cradle cap, even now at age 6.
