Question:

My 2 year old son has bright green p**p?

It started a couple of months ago and lasted about a week. The doctor said it was normal. But it keeps happening on and off. It will happen for a couple of days. Then be gone for a few weeks and come back. He has not been eating anything different. When he was a year old he had green p**p but it was accompanied with vomiting, fever, and loss of appetite, that time he was tested and had a stomache infection. But now the doctors seem to not be concerned. If you have any answers as to what may be causing this I would appreciate it.

  1. hello. my kids did the same thing they are 4 and 5. its actually because of something purple he ate. sounds crazy but its true. purple dye like in popsicles, or grape soda or even grape juice if its not 100% will cause bright green to a medium green p**p. hope this helps. dont stress. if he doesnt have a fever or all the good stuff that comes along with that, its okey dokey.

  2. my son is 27months and has the same thing.  This is my second child, and I am not that concerned.  He has it a few days then a week or so later again.

  3. calcium deficiency

  4. Get a second opinion if you have doubts

  5. My first son had the same thing at 2. Its normal. I learned after the second child not to stress it. Its bright green isnt it? As long as the other symptoms are not there now he should be fine. Get another doctors opinion if you're still second guessing though!
