My 2 year old son woke up this morning with redness above is top lip and some below his bottom lip i think its

chapped or maybe from his milk dryong around his mouth or maybe from the sun any ideas what it could be? what to do about it?

  1. Try to keep the area dry and clean and put a small amount of vasaline on the area preferably while he is sleeping. Make sure he doesn't walk around with a cup or bottle because the moisture will make it worse.


  2. My kids lips have chapped right around where it meets the skin. For one I have them put chapstick on at least once a day, and when it gets that way we just put chapstick there as well. We just use the moisturizing chapstick, the other ones they say burn especially Carmex. Put it on for a few days and it should heal up. Even lips need to be taken care of in very hot or cold weather. They put it on after brushing their teeth and usually again when they get home from school.
