  1. What were the results of the glass test? If you could still see the rash through the glass then take him to the doctor straight away. But if the rash disappeared when the glass was on it, and he's his happy self, then it's probably heat rash. x

This link is a slideshow showing the common rashes toddlers and infants get, great pics and treatment suggestions! Good luck!

  3. it is probably just heat rash my little one has it all you can do is keep it dry and cool (keep the baby away from the heat) dont put lotion on it cause it creates heat. (you can put a little bit of powder on it to keep it cool.)

  4. You could try:

But if he's still well in himself and the rash disappeared under the glass then I would just make a doctors appointment or go show the chemist. Keep him well hydrated, have cool baths, loose clothes...when possible keep the nappy off! Good excuse for the paddling pool :)

  5. My little one is getting it every so often, we are taking her for an allergy test but only as a precaution. My sister , a nurse, told me it is nothing to worry about so I say the same to you. Keep an eye on it and I am sure he will be fine.

  6. You know, there seem to be so many little ones with rashes at the moment. My son who's just turned 2 recently had chicken pox, which was fine, but then just as the spots started to dry, he developed another rash, really blotchy and particularly under his arms and round his tummy. I took him to the doctors last night and he said its something called Urticaria (nettle rash). He said it's nothing to worry about and it's not contagious but it just looks a bit unsightly. Its usually caused by heat or an allergy to something, however the warm weather makes it worse. He suggested giving him Piriton which i've been doing and that does seem to help. I suppose if you're worried you could get an appointment at your gp's or maybe ask your health visitor x

  7. If he is otherwise well it probably is heat rash, when it comes to babies though it's best to just pop them in to the doc or health visitor for a look. Though I am sure he is fine, better safe then sorry.

    -staph infection

    -yeast infection

could also be it. if its heat rash keep baby powder on it.-keeps it dry.
