My 2000 chevy cavalier won't start?!? HELP!

It runs fine once it is pop started or jumped by another car. But as soon as car shuts off..all power is drained from battery instantly. I re placed my alternator cuz I knew it was time. BUT WHAT CAN IT BE! help me please haha

  1. Hey it is your battery..Have someone jump you and go to your nearest walmart supercenter..they put batteries in for you


  2. could be a bad conection or the starter.

  3. the starter could be arching and cause the battery to drain.. the battery cables them selves could be bad. check for theese things spark,gas,air is your oil filter on to tight? did you put in a system recently? maybe you did not ground something?

  4. if you haven't changed your battery it could be that. especially since you already changed your alternator.

  5. It has died of old age.  8 years for a cavalier is good.

    Try a new battery.

  6. Check the connections to the battery they may be dirty, or take it to have the core checked for a charge.
