My 2000 nissan maxima is having some issues?

this is a wonderful car and has been well taken care of but my husband is deployed and I need some help. The oil filter needs to be changed but I'm not sure what to get, walmart has some and is very close to me. The service engine light just came on and I know I need an oil change, could this be why it came on?

if you havent changed it for a while then you should change it but just check it out

check the oil and other fluids most shops charged like 25 buck or less for oil change

the best idea woruld probably go to the dealer and get a diagnowstic done to the automobile, anothing thing that is might be would be that the gas tank might be totally fastened. so you should check that as well i hope this infomation was helpful!
