So, I went camping a few weekends ago and my car was the source of music since I had the best sound system. Well, running my car all night for my friends and I my car had died. Stupid Yes I know. Well, before any of this when I would lock and unlock my car I would always have to listen for the locks to MAKE SURE that my car was locked. After camping and having my car battery die and when I went to lock and unlock my car the lights would flash indicating the door were locked! I thought it was pretty cool since I had never had it happen you know. Anyways, I just went camping this last weekend and the battery had died again since again, I was the source of music. Now, the lights wont flash when I lock and unlock. Weird Huh...Any advice?

  1. The lights dont flash when the vehicle is entered into "valet" mode. That also means your alarm probably isn't arming anymore either.

Hold the drivers door open, key in hand, and hold the unlock button until the "security" light on the dash stops blinking constantly. Then try to lock the doors with the remote. Lights should flash!

  2. Read your owners manual... It contains instructions on how to activate and deactivate the light flash feature.

    And consider a larger battery.

  3. Never heard anything like that before to tell you the truth. Obviously, it's an electronics issue. I would contact your nearest Subaru dealer and speak to a service advisor
