My 2001 blazer drags before it shif gears?

When I pull off after coming to a stop, my truck act like it don't want to pull for a few seconds before it shifts gears.The place were I bought it says it's normal.

Check the trans. fluid. Make sure it's at the proper level and not foamy. Check it on level ground with the engine warmed up and has been run through all the gears to get an accurate reading.

the transmiction may be starting to go bad or the may have been toore out of it
