My 2002 dodge diesel has no power

Question

after it sets for a while, I start it and it has no power it will idle but I don't think the turbo kicks in I can sometimes rev my engine up and it solves it or I have to shut it off and start it again. can any one help

Change the filter> Drain the filter while the top is off turn the key on if the pump runs and fills the filter up the lift pumps Ok>Might be a injection pump>Have it checked out> Also so they changed engines that yr> Does it have a fuel shut off behind the injection pump>If so contact me I will talk you threw a check>

Maybe you need tune up your engine
