later message came on again. So I filled it again, car sat in garage for a day but then after driving it for just a short time today, I parked in my garage and noticed fluid leaking on the floor. Do I have a leak or did I put too much fluid in?

I'd have to take a wild guess and say you have a leak.

i would say you have a leak... that is why you keep getting the message.. if you overfilled it, not only would the light NOT come back on, you wouldnt notice it after driving because it would have all already drained down to normal level... good luck
