This motor has approx. 250 hrs. on it.A man that owns a local boat shop asked me if I have ever had the valves adjusted, and i said that i hadn't,and he said it should have been done at 20 hrs. He told me that it would only take him about an hour at a cost of 135.00.I am just wondering if it would be possiable to do this my self?

  1. Maybe with a factory service manual depending on your mechanical abilities. Without it, no.

  2. It's possible, if you are a mechanic and have the specs.  But for $135.00  is it worth the effort and risk that you might mess up a good reliable engine??   I would contact the Honda dealer and other shops in your area and get additional estimates. You may be able to save some money that way and know that they are set right.
