My 2005 Honda trx 450R will start and run fine in idle but when I push in on the throttle it starts to spiter

Well said Auburn, dirty fuel or carb blocked is the first advice.

After that is fixed,  go for a full service and it will run great.

Yep. Clean out carb and check all your jets. Did you put on an exhaust or anything?

try cleaning out the jet in the carb,sounds as if it has dirt in it

You may have dirty fuel.  Try draining the fuel  and clean the filter at the bottom of the tank in case it has a blockage and it may fix the problem

it may not be you carb!!

Check you air filter first to see if it is dirty/clean if dirty, clean it!!

if the problem still persists there is a little s***w on the bottom of the carb it is in the bowl unscrew that and fuel will run down the lines to the ground

try again

if problem still persists take apart your carb change your jetting maybe you added an exhaust or new air filter, etc.. many changes to your bike can throw your fuel to air mixture way off so check the jetting

try again

and if the problem still isn't solved clean the carb, take apart every piece and clean and label the pieces too. If you don't want to do it yourself take it to you local dealer or performance shop it make cost you 50 to a hundred bucks depending on service rates
