My 22 month old keeps falling on his knees when walking around the house (5 out of 10 daily) - is this normal?

  1. If he looks like he's doing it on purpose, then yes it's normal.  If it's more of a situation of he can't hold himself up and is falling down because his legs seem weak or something, then no it's not normal.


  2. They fall alot. Just to be safe I would get some walking shoes.

  3. Sounds like you are worried so go and get him checked out to be sure there is nothing wrong.

  4. no it's not normal. you should get his balance checked. Something could be off in his ears. good luck!

  5. if he is crying like he is having pain I would take him in to the DR to have his knees checked. My daughter is 3 and having problems with her knees. If this is the case; feed him bananas. If it is not and he is just falling maybe he is tripping on his shoes (maybe they are difficult to walk in) or maybe he is doing it just for attention. But if it persists I would tell your pediatrician
