my boyfriend is 26 and watches Hannah Montana, we have no kids. he records it and other kids shows on our DVR. when i asked him about it he said, he enjoyed the show, he found it funny. i asked him if it was "sexual" and he just gave me a nasty look, like he couldnt believe i'd go there. he said his favorite character is the little dark haired kid, i think his name is Oliver. the other kids shows he likes to record are Even Stevens, Suite Life of Zack and Cody, Kim Possible, Hey Arnold, Drake and Josh, and Batman. he never really talks about the shows, he just watches them and laughs, and thats really it. i don't care so much about the other shows, it's the Hannah Montana that i find weird. i mean he dosen't buy her merchandise, and dosent care for the music, except "See You Again" he said was catchy. and there's been no Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus sites on the computer that he visits. he reads all these big books and watches the history channel and then turns it to disney and nickelodeon, it's just so innocent. well maybe i'm over reacting. is this normal? for an adult male to like family kids shows? Hannah Montana inparticular.

  1. It's fine if he shows no signs of being a pervert. I don't think it's bad at all.

  2. It may just be that hes looking for a good clean program to watch. One that is void of the adult humor, which can be a bit rancy, that people of the world today try to intertwine into most television shows and movies. I wouldn't be too worried. It sounds innocent. If he starts watching it in his boxers with a bottle of lotion nearby then I'd be concerned. No one was considered a pedifile when they watched Shirley Temple back in the day. Some people just like good clean shows. I understand your concern, it does seem a bit odd, but there are other shows with young girls on them with much less couth, that a man seeking "entertainment" could watch....I think him watching Hannah's safe. ;-)

  3. i personally think that watching those shows when their on is no big deal.. but recording them? i dont know, the fact that he likes oliver is a little creepy to me because the shows that you have mentioned in particular are shows involving little boys... which to me is a little weird. try having an open and honest talk with him, you may be right to be freaked out, or you may be overreacting. Youll never know if you dont try

  4. All healthy males would find post-adolescent girls attractive, Hannah Montana included. Female flesh is attractive, not the number of years on a calendar, you can't just turn it off. But with the anti-male witch hunt for anyone who hints that anyone who has any interest in children is a monster has reduced us all to petty little spies seeking out any hint of "improper" thoughts or "unwholesome" affection or attention between men and young girls. Well, I think the world is sick, not these men. Girls are beautiful and if you think that's untrue because you're old and ugly and agree with whatever you read in the papers because it makes you feel better about yourself for being old and ugly, then I'm sorry, but you've got to get over yourself. I am a man, not a slave to your irrationality. Might as well tell me mountains aren't beautiful and I shouldn't climb them because I might leave a chewing gum wrapper on top.

  5. Lol, I wouldn't worry too much sweetie. I have a 25 year old fiance that does the same things with the same shows, but other than watching them on tv, he shows absolutely no interest in them. I tease him for it all the time. I think men just have this section of their brain that never really grows up and likes to watch kid shows like that. As long as he doesn't show any signs of sexual attractions to Miley Cyrus, I wouldn't be too worried.

    Good luck =]

  6. This is just tooadorable, he has a innocent/cute side. Though I frown upon his choice on Hannah Montana to satisfy that side.

I love the dark look segment, this has to be funniest post.

Just let it go though, at least he doesn' go overboard with it, then it should be fine.

  7. there is loads of men odd enough in their 30's that have took to it . they would have done earlier but since the kids are hating it the adults are the only ones stuck with it.

  8. There's absolutely nothing wrong with him enjoying those shows, I'm actually kind of surprised you'd go to the "sexual" area myself, it's not as though he'd ever be able to get with her regardless. Then and only then would it be weird for him to be watching the shows, everyone watches something others find off or strange. You're overreacting to the situation is all.

  9. yeah i watch some kids shows and im almost 23

  10. yes im sorry but thats just weird

  11. Hahaha, maybe just a guilty pleasure :)

I don't think it's anything to worry about. It shouldn't be sexual since he watches other shows and cartoons too. It's just probably something he enjoys watching once in a while.
