My 2GB Creative ZEN is not recognized. Why?

I am receiving this error when I plugin my Zen.

"USB Device not recognized" - One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it.

I tried to plug it in on other ports but with no luck. Other devices also work on my USB ports but not my ZEN. In fact, my sister bought the same unit that I have and it recognized the player. But why is mine can't be recogonized? Is the problem with my player itself?

90% of these kinds of problems can be resolved by re-booting the computer, or even turning the computer off then on, again.

If that doesn't solve the problem, then you might have to upgrade windows to the latest service pack (free).  And/or you might have to upgrage the firmware in the Zen.  

Creative.com will have the latest firmware upgrades and the way to load it into the Zen (and instructions on how to do it).
