And now I hate waiting so I am asking all of you. Nothing has changed, diet has been the same. Maybe his tummy is just upset? It's been going on 2 1/2 days. He had some Pedialyte yesterday, but none today. Anyone have any advise...????

  1. Don't give him ANYTHING else. Take him to the ER now. If this is C. Difficile, he needs a doc and antibiotics ASAP.

Does it have an unusual smell?

  2. Right now feed him some pedialyte followed by water and get him to an emergency room ASAP!!

  3. try feeding him yogurt it the cultures in yogurt help with diarrhea and keep him well hydrated.  this was advice given to my by my peditirician.

  4. Keep giving him fluids, and stop the heavy food intake.. Give him a teaspoon of fruit cocktail heavy syrup and no food for a little while to settle his stomach.  Then start him with saltines and maybe some chicken noodle soup. If it continues, watch for dehydration.

  5. My son had that about 6 months ago and it was HORRIBLE.  He would literally fill his diaper with this liquid and I was horrified.  I had never seen anything quite like that.  It turned how he had picked up a virus and after about 5 days he was fine.  Just did pedialyte and crackers and kept him off of all dairy products.  Hope he gets better soon!

I should mention that my ped also told me the warning signs to look for for dehydration, because that is the biggest concern, but yes my dr did want to see him but there was nothing that they were able to give him, it had to run it's course.
