My 2yr10month old son has trouble potty training because he has always done it standing up. Can we fix this?

He has no trouble peeing in the potty. His problem is just the stool. Has anyone had a similar problem?

he should eventually know the different feelings you get for #1 and #2.  when he needs to go #2 remind him to sit.  we use a stool and a little seat that sits on the regular toilet.  my son removes the seat and puts the toilet seat up to pee and puts the seat down and sits on the toddler seat to p**p.  we use the stool on the floor for both.  once to stand on and once to put his feet on for support while he sits.
