Maybe I should demonstrate it? Other dads do this?

  1. don't demenstrate! you will be ridiculed! just tell him how to.

  2. Beleive it or not, there are some thing Human males learn from "dad". You are exactly right-let him watch you and he'll "want" to be like you. I made a game and floated Cheerios in the pot and we'd try to sink them. He saw me having so much fun-he pulled himself out and joined in-first time. It only took a few times and my son couldn't wait to stand up and defend the pot on his own! But if you are on a budget, just wanting to be like dad is enough-but hey, games can be a bonding thing too-I never had to get mad at my son if I could teach and "animal skills" with an easy yet fun game.

  3. yea maybe if he watches you. I'm not a father yet. hopefully someday though. but yea kids, they learn with there eyes and sons especially look up to there fathers and wanna be like them. so if he watches you, and if you teach him to aim to the middle of the bowl (so his future wife doesn't go crazy when he pees on the rim or even the floor). even though it happens anyway no matter how old you are.

  4. Put a ping pong ball in the loo and tell him to see if he can hit it. It's fun and he'll soon catch on.

  5. LOL. I remember when I use to do this. What my mom had me do when I was little was go and watch my dad and I learned how to pee standing up really quick. Maybe you should try that.

  6. Yes teach him by example. How else will he learn? That's how my dad taught me its not like its some perverted sexual act and you are your sons dad.

  7. I potty trained my boys by putting a fruit loop in the toilet and then had them aim for it... worked every time!
