  1. Had the same issue with my daughter.  Whenever we fed her, gallons would come up.  I even took her to the ped because I was worried about her.  The ped told me that so long as she was gaining weight, we would just have to do more laundry.  I actually started adding a little bit of rice cereal to her bottles and that actually seemed to help.  She still spit up, but not nearly as much as she was before.  Eventually they do outgrow it though.

  2. Call your babies dr tomorrow and have this checked out.

Chances are every one is right about the reflux, but if thats

the case, a little bit of medicine will help your little guy

feel a lot better.  I have an 8 month old boy, tried every

formula there was, not only does he suffer from acid reflux,

he is allergic to milk.  Good luck.

  3. this situation is not normal have him checked for pyloric  stenosis upper and lower it usally occurs three to four weeks after birth but you never know it could have just taken him longer to show symptoms....symptoms are projectile vomiting(profuse, forcefull vommiting in which the stomach contents may eb ejected at a distance of several feet) after feeding. the way they check is a barium swollow (white chalky substances that you feed the baby out of a bottle) and an xray. It could also be an allergic reaction to the formula itself after changing formulas MAKE them do the exam for pyloric stenosis! good luck

  4. could be reflux or you might need to switch formula. Call your doctor. You might just be able to ask over the phone. My first and third did the same thing...it was reflux for them.

  5. Probably has reflux.  Change the formula to a reflux one.  My breastfed boy still vomits - and is 9 months old.  they grow out of it eventually as their tummy matures

  6. He might be eating too much, or it could be what my sons had...gastroesophogal reflux disease, its like heartburn. Take him to the pediatrician, and if thats what it is they will probably give you baby zantac. Good luck.

  7. It could be that they are allergic to the milk your giving him,

the same thing happened with my little cousin, but with nuts.

    hope that helps hun :)

  8. Sounds like Acid Reflux.  Very common and my baby has it too.  He takes Zantac three times a day.  My niece had and threw up projectile all the time.  Keep him sitting up right when you feed him and keep him upright at least thirty minutes after feeding him.  Do not lay him flat.  Elevate the crip on one side or let him sleep in the carseat or swing.  We had to buy a special chair for our guy to sleep in next to our bed.  He is doing bettler w/meds and age.

  9. Now is he throwing up or spitting up. There are so many parents that comes to the hospital and says there baby is throwing up but most of the time it's just a spit up. It sounds like he may have reflux. Make an appointment with your doctor to get seen. If it is reflux your doctor could put him on a medication that'll neutralize the acid in his stomach and it won't bother him when things come back up. Also you could switch formulas or put him on a formula with rice cereal already made in it. Talk to your doctor before trying the rice cereal though.

  10. my son is the SAME way.. it seems like at 3 and half months it was the worst its been.. but its from acid reflux.  i tried everything.. all different formulas.. even a hypoallergenic one that was 30 bucks for a TINY can... and he still vomitted.. hes four months today, and the only thing that minimizes the AMOUNT of puking is adding cereal to his bottles..

for every 4 oz add a tsp of rice cereal.. he still will spit up, but its thicker and wont seem like as much... and basically what it has come down to for me, is that i have a pukey baby.. people understand.. and i bring receiving blankets instead of burp cloths.... and LOTS of bibs and extra outfits.

yeah its a lot of extra laundry, but it wont last forever... theyre only babies for a lil bit of time, and then they grow up.. just try to enjoy him as is...  good luck and congrats

    EDIT:

in response to hunter's mommy.. pyloric stenosis is what they thought dylan may have had as well.. but it requires surgery, and i just dont believe in putting a baby through that AS LONG AS THEY ARE GAINING WEIGHT and are not bothered by the spitting up..

at 3.5/ 4 months old... its a little old to be diagnosed with pyloric stenosis.. if they havent needed the surgery for it yet, chances are they will be fine and are growing/ will grow out of it.. ive heard of A LOT of moms who opted for no surgery and watched their kids grow out of it and grow up perfectly fine and healthy and chunky too :)

  11. If it is just a little it is normal - however, if it truly is all over his outfit he may have reflux. Speak to his pediatrician at the next appointment. Some doctors do recommend starting babies w/ reflux on a tiny bit of Rice cereal (2 tbsp a day). It seems to help sometimes.

  12. Sounds like reflux issues to me but they have to be treated by a doctor. It's not normal to throw up after every meal, small amounts of spit up can be normal but not throwing up.
