My 3 week old son has been sleeping all day?

went to sleep at 4:30 and i woke him at 730 to eat ..he ate but stayed asleep it is now 1230am and he is still asleep ..I'm worried he never sleeps like this ...always awake and alert

It is very common for babies that young to sleep most of the day. It's possible that he didn't feel well that day, or that he didn't sleep well the night before. We all have days where we just want to sleep. If it concerns you that much, you can call your doctor to double-check.

Enjoy it..Maybe wake him up after 4 hours to eat!!

he may be going through a growth spurt, if you're concerned call the dr ASAP!!  :)

Babies that age literally sleep all day. They are growing and usually are only awake to eat. In a couple of months, he will sleep less and will become more alert to his surroundings...
