My daughter is 3 and 1/4 years old, her p**p has been green for at least a month. Maybe 2. It's sometimes more green than others, brighter, darker, but its usually ALWAYS green. Is this normal? I read other parents questions about green p**p in their children, but they all say its been like that for 2 or 3 days. Well this has been a lot longer. Could there be something medically wrong? Or is it just fruit snacks and juice? Has anyone else ever gone through this? If so, what is it and how can I get rid of it? I'm starting to get worried, and am starting to think I should take her to the doctor, but I don't want to waste a trip if its just something simple. Please help me and give me some insights. Thank you!

  1. it could be just some thing she eat and it will make her p**p turn green but if this don't stop you should take her to the doctor and find out what is wrong with her some food does make you go green depends what you feed her

  2. I would just call her dr. just to be sure! Good luck!!!

  3. Yeah, it's most likely something that's consistently in her diet. Does she take Flintstones vitamins? Does she have grapes, grape-flavored juice, grape koolaid or something like that on a almost-daily basis?

Unless she's got other "sick kid" symptoms, ie fever, belly ache, rash, then you can count on the green poopies being caused by something she's eating or drinking.

    All my best, mommy!

  4. When this happened with our son it was the vitamins I was giving him. I switched and it cleared up right away.

Call your doctors office and ask, they will tell you if you should bring her in or not.

  5. If she's eating a lot of green veggies or stuff with food coloring in it, it may be just that. But I agree that a month seems like an awful long time to have green p**p! If you can't find any other reason for it to be green, I put in a call to the doc. They may want a stool sample to run some tests on. And when you call the doc, you can ask for his nurse and she can run your questions by the doc to see if it really warrants a trip in or not.

  6. Well, there are a lot of influences that can change the color of her stool. I know that grape juice always changed mine when I was a kid. It's not anything you should be worrying yourself about. It's probably something in her food that isn't digested and turns her stool green. It might be some veggies, it might be some fruit, but without a list of the foods and drinks she's given, I'm afraid I can't be of more help than this.

  7. My son only gets green p**p when he eats really sugary ceral like Luckey Charms.

  8. green p**p is normal. even as long as a month. if its black or has red in it then thats a big problem. black is a sign of internal bleeding.
