My 3 year old f/cat has a little pet pig that she brings upstairs at night & meows w/it in her mouth. Why?

Lol, yes my 3 year old male does this. It's always in the middle of the night and he yowls and yowls walking around with the toy in his mouth. Just thank him as if he had brought you a present and he'll quiet down. It's the same as when they bring owners dead birds and stuff, they are trying to be nice and looking for recognition.

because cats hunt prey. she thinks the little pet pig is like a mouse. she caught it and wants you to praise her for a being a good hunter.. mine does this alot

My Sophie does the same thing. It's like prey to them and she wants you to praise her for being so clever! Mine does it with plastic bottle caps, her little mousie toys and has also done it with (yuck!) spiders! She has this uncanny way of picking them up in her mouth without killing them then she brings them to me!  lol Makes me scream every time!
