My 3 year old marginated tortoise was going to the toilet in its water dish...?

when I noticed what looked like its r****m coming out with it. Is this normal as Id never seen it happen before. It was very pink and long and came right out and then just disappeared inside again?

My tortoise always gets his lipstick out!!  He's a randy one.  They poo, wee and their willy all comes out of the same hole, I couldn't believe it when I found that out

you will probably find you have a male tortoise what you saw was it's p***s, it is tucked up inside their tail vent, they wee and poo out of the same hole, it is not uncommon for a male tortoise to slip its p***s out, as long as it all tucks back inside don't worry too much it is normal, if it comes out and does not go back in then it has prolapsed and need veterinary advice, but other than that it is all normal, best of luck honey

This is called a prolapse, when an internal organ comes out. It is a good sign that it slipped back in quickly...

It also suggests that this was a 'penile prolapse' and your tortoise is a male. This type of prolapse is common and normal.
