  1. All kids have different eating habits. Give him a daily vitamin or see if he will drink an Ensure so you know he is at least getting a daily dose of the vitamins/nutrients he needs. My son is 6 and weights less than 50 lbs. He is very skinny, but he eats three regular meals a day and snacks constantly. Your son may also have a high metabolism.

  2. I agree with 'eBay' - your boy is really quite under weight (just below what is acceptable and way below the average for his height) and you'd be better having him examined before you'd start trying to fatten him up with high calorie foods.  IF the rest of his diet isn't right you'll only add to the problem because he still wouldn't be getting enough protein/nutrients/vitamins etc from his diet already.  Also if he's not holding food you'd really need to get that checked out asap - maybe he's lactose intolerant?  My mian concern would be that you'd introduce something else his system is intolerant of besides his present veg / dairy diet and he'd continue to get weaker.

  3. Your best bet is to take him to your family doctor and get his or her advice on your child's dietary needs

  4. Children will usually eat when they are hungry enough. I would take him to the doctor anyway just to make sure there is no underlying causes. Good luck
