To a three year old I'm sure it is very funny.  Maybe if you want to make him laugh, you could change up what gets thrown at him, such as a boulder or car, and see if he thinks others are even funnier.

He's brilliant! I'm 45 and I thought it was funny! My friend's little girl was about 3 when she came up with a unique way of playing Barbies: she'd take the clothes off of all the dolls, line them all up in a row, lying down, and then run over them with the Barbie jeep and make the screaming sounds for them. What a crack up!
