My 3 year old wont wake up. What should I do?

I've just walked in and found my three year old son sleeping on the kitchen floor but I cant seem to wake him up. I know he's OK, he's still breathing and I don't think he swallowed anything harmful but he's sleeping on a funny angle and wont wake up. At first I thought it was a joke but now hes kept it up for one hour so I'm not so sure. Any suggestions?

If you cant wake him up by now then you should definitely get medical advice straight away! it may turn out to be nothing, but it will be worth it if there is something wrong.

Breathing isn't the only sign of good health.  You need to call his doctor and tell them you are on the way.  Maybe he's just really tired, but why take that chance with your child??

Take him to the emergency room or call 911. It's better to be safe then sorry.

That's really not normal, pick him up and if he doesn't respond in some way take him to the emergency room - just in case hes in a diabetic coma or something awful!

and you're on the internet, go pick him up and see what's wrong. He is probably just exhausted but help him wake up.

I would be a bit concerned if it were me, just in case he has swallowed something harmfull.  Take a wet flannel with warm water and wipe it over his face - this should wake him up so you can make sure he is ok.

It's probably nothing. But if he is sleeping and won't wake up and is at a funny angle maybe it's best take him the Dr's to be safe.

get him to hospital I have a two year old and yes they can be difficult to wake he may be unconscious .

what an idiot. call 911 or take him to the dr. as his mom of 3 years you should know if hes in danger or not. what are you gonna do let him lay there until somebody on here tells you what to do. somebody you don't even know. wtf are u thinking.

get a doctor now!. he may be breathing o.k but what about things you cant see like his sugar levels etc. a child not waking up is not normal and undiagnosed problems like diabetes can cause coma.

He may have fainted. you have probably taken him to the doctors by now. but make sure you know what to do if that happens because they could swallow their tongue.

It might sound mean but spray him or drip some cold water on him.  If he wakes up then he is fine.  If not then call 911.
