My 30 gb ipod video wont turn on. please help?

i have had it for 4 years I have toggled the hold switch then held the middle and menu button for 30 seconds. when i plug it in the computer does not read it or anything..... i really do not think the battery is messed up i always fully charge my ipod and then play it until it is dead. then recharge it fully again. i dont know what to do help pleade
