  1. There is no reason to be racist... There obviously is something wrong with your 360. You need a new one, just pay the money if you really want one that much.... Don't be a racist

  2. good luck with that

  3. you may be keeping it in a place where it heats up.

keep it up high not near the ground.

make sure its not trapped in a shelf or sumthing.

over heating is a big problem for the 360.

o yeah and your not being racist.

and even if you are its cool.

i mean im racist and look at me!!!

  4. try unplugging everthing then plug it back in. if that doesent help call 1-800-469-9269.

  5. kick it

  6. uh-oh.

  7. Because Microsoft outsources their customer service to India - trust me bro, I've had the same thing happen to me, too. I had the famous three rings of death on mine. Did everything, took off the fan pack, unplugged it, stood it upright, put it on books, placed a fan in front of it...you name it I did it. I finally gave in and called and got an Indian (I assume

). Nothing against using them, it's just a trend that American companies do.

  8. You can buy new xboxes and have them fixed by Microsoft either with or without a warranty as much as you like, HOWEVER... the problem will not go away. The problem is due to defective motherboards as the result of a design flaw with the heat sink mounting mechanism. In other words, all Xboxs are broken when you buy them, its all down to luck, whether or not you get the ring of death, and since the replacement parts they use are just as defective as the ones they are replacing its a problem waiting to happen no matter what you do.

The irony in all this is that it took me $10 worth of parts, and 1 hour of work (if you're not very skilled at this kind of stuff it may take you a day) to PERMANENTLY fix my xbox which was also suffering from the ring of death.

There are tons of "X-Clamp Replacement" tutorials on the internet and users report a 80-90% success rate with this solution. Of the remaining 10-20% it is my opinion that 75% of those people could not fix their xboxes with this method simply because they did not tighten the heat sinks enough, or they tightened them too much, in either case if they just tinkered with it more they could get it to work.

Doing this will void your warranty but then again it will most likely fix your xbox permanently.

  9. (dont be even slightly racist, it will get you banned)

try not playing for too long, it overheats easy, move it to an open area in the room, make sure the gaps are clear of blockages
