My 360 is acting up the light keeps flashing red why is that?

Sounds like you have the "rings of death". I'm not sure what causes this, but your xbox has to be serviced. This happened to me twice already! You need to send your xbox back to manufacture to be repaired or possibly replaced. From what I was told, there was no way of preventing it and it happens a lot. Good luck!
