  1. I don't know anyone who isn't having major problems with their 360's... because..

Yahoo is in the process of launching a new platform here on this site.

The 360 will no longer be called the 360 after this.. we will have a new blogger and other things which yahoo has not announced yet.. Until that then they have stopped doing maintenance on the 360 and have pulled a lot of the server from it to give it to the new platform,  it is extremely difficult to not give up on this site lately.. they set a date for the change over to take place through a letter to a friend of mine who published it in a blog to us.. but  it has passed us by already.. .

The 360 product blog has a blog posted by Matt Warburton .. the new head of Yahoo.. that explains most of the questions you might have.. here is the link to that blog

I hope they get it together soon!

  2. 360 is finished. I've heard that, probably, in March the service will no longer exist. The good folks (;-p) at Yahoo are launching a new product that will replace it. We are supposed to have an easy transition and they will provide tools to make the transfer of all our blogs and contacts easier. Some of us have set up pages elsewhere so we can make sure that we stay in touch.

Most of my contacts have left their pages up at 360 and we've noticed problems. Yahoo is not interested in fixing them btw.

  3. Y!360 is transitioning into a different social networking platform in early 2008. There has not been a more specific date announced on the blog yet, so it could happen any time between January and end of March 2008. Yahoo is trying to centralize its profiling services - Y!Mash, Y!360, and the regular Members profile - into one. It likely will not be called 360 anymore, so yes, it's closing in a sense. See http://blog.360.yahoo.com/product_360 for more details. The 360 team blog is also accessible via the "Yahoo! 360 News" link in the upper right corner of your 360 space. However, they are no longer fixing bugs related to Y!360, so there's no point in trying to contact them about those.

You are probably experiencing the recent, serious glitch described here:

You can't fix it, but you MAY be able to work around it.

I have no interest in the other services out there really. I have a Y!Mash space. That's also in testing, but I don't like it more than Y!360. Until my 360 becomes totally unworkable, then I have no intention of leaving. Even then, I might just stop blogging. The only reason I started it was because it was convenient. For more of my opinion, see http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-4D4zxsg6f... .

I am waiting to see what Yahoo comes up with in terms of a new social networking service. Other people are not willing to do so because of so many glitches and poor customer service. They may or may not come back.

You will not be able to get it all working properly. But you can work around certain things and try different methods than the ones presented by Yahoo. If that doesn't work for you, then leaving is probably looking like the better option.
