We thought we got lucky when there was a chicken pox outbreak at the nursery. Harvey caught it but only had 9 spots over his whole body (other kids were covered). However yesterday we noticed about 4 spots and this morning he is covered. I have heard of people occassionally getting chicken pox twice years apart but never in such a short period of time, could this suggest an imune problem ?2 days ago - 1 day left to answer. Additional Details1 second ago - Thank you to the 5 people who answered. We saw the health visitor who confirmed the spots were the same as 4 weeks ago. The doctor confirmed it was chicken pox on both occassions. He said he as known children to get it twice when they have only had a mild dose on the first occassion but usually a few years apart (and even then this is quite rare). He said although very unusal he doesn't think it is anything to be unduly worried about. "its just one of them that you cannot really explain".
