  1. She's' four years old, so its not like she knows how to type and make profiles on myspace right, so just keep an eye on her and have a parent control settings that just let her on sites that are at the at the right stage she is. Just let her go on sites that focus on teaching something, colors, numbers, ABC's basically anything that stimulates her brain the right form not the wrong way. The perverts should be away from her. As long as she's not chatting away all day and i don't think that's likely, you'll be okay.

  2. Keep her off the internet... She is way to young! If you are really wanting her to use a computer, buy an educational software program for her age group. I highly recommend you find something else for your daughter to do besides sitting in front of a computer screen... Many studies have shown the negative effects a computer can have on young children...

  3. I agree with the answers above, coupled with the fact that there is no reason why she should be using it unsupervised.

  4. I don't understand why she SHOULD even be On the internet - this is the age she should be learning fine and big motorskills!!! Teach her to ride her bike, throw a ball, stack things, string beads, and that type of thing!!

  5. I would recommend that you definitely be in the room when your child is on the Internet.  Here are some good sights for her age:

    http://www.crayola.com

    http://www.pbskids.com

    http://www.sesameworkshop.org/sesamestre...

    http://atv.disney.go.com/playhouse/index...

    http://www.noggin.com/games/

I also like this computer software game:

    Jump start Preschool

Jump start has some on line games for young kids as well:

    http://www.jumpstart.com/toddlertown/ind...

  6. Keep your computer in the family room so you can have an eye on what she is doing.

Have a parental control device (and keep in mind it's not 100% safe)

Limit the time on the computer

Maybe instead of internet you could buy/rent some nice cederom appropriate for her age?

  7. I would make a list in favorites that she can go on. Remove the address toolbar so she cant accidentally get on a site that you havent approved. Go to View, Toolbars, and uncheck the address bar.

    PBS Kids.org, disney, etc.

  8. let her go on only the safe websites like:

    funbrain.com

    coloring.com

    miniclip.com

    gamesloth.com

    millsberry.com

    koolaid.com

    postopia.com

  9. keep her AWAY from myspace.. mayspace accounts are just bait for predators.. i recommend getting a filter for the computer so you can block certain things

  10. If she is four can she read enough to go on any of those sites? Let her go to disney.com and pbs.com and any other kid domain. Also don't let her use the computer unless you are in the room.

Have pop-up blocker on so that nothing that you don't want her to see just appears on the screen.

  11. Do a web search with the words "internet parental control ".

    You'll learn a lot.

Get ready to monitor your kid !

  12. I LOVE anothernewsite.com   It is totally child friendly and has about 30 links to great kids friendly websites.

My husband set up an icon just for the kids where they can click on it and get to whatever games they choose
