Hi my sons eyes have been reddish/pink for almost 7 days now, I took him to the doctor on Friday, she said it was just allergies, and gave him some eye drops, but they are not taking the redness away should I wait longer to see if the drops work or take him back to another doctor? Oh and his eyes aren't bothering him ( unless hes not telling me ) and there is no discharge. Thanx!

  1. Did your doctor give you a follow-up appointment? If so, keep that appointment. If not, feel free to take him in.  Better safe than sorry!

  2. Yeah! I would  wait. Just chec him every so offen. Ask him dose your eyes hurts? Usally with allergies they come and go. Visit you regular medical doctor and him to check these allergies. Sometimes in the season of allgeries their eyes will just be red all the time. So to be honest with you just  to be safe take him to a regular doc and just check. If it turns out not to be allergies then  take him back to the eye doctor, an eye doctor can't really so much about allergies

  3. Did you take him to a pediatrician or an eye doctor?  If you did not take him to an eye doctor, I suggest you do that and if you did, I think you should make another appointment to have him checked again.

  4. maybe hes high all the time from smoking weed :D

  5. Hey, there!

Well, I'm not a pro, but I hope it helps.

Since there are no other symptoms (pain, itching, discharge, etc), I guess they're just irritated. Which, of course, might be due to the allergy. If you're sure it's an allergy, try to find out what he's allergic for. It's always best to avoid contact with the allergen.

Make sure if the instructions of the meds say anything about how long it'd take to alleviate the symptoms.

If it really persists, it might be a good idea to go back to your physician.

    Hope he gets better soon!
