My 42 inch vizio

hey I am a ps3 and laptop expert so when my 42 inch vizio stopped working I came to the place where I give advice lol!Ok no sound no picture IT IS MY BABY never abused and have had for about 16 months ish manufactured may 2006 . It turns on but no video is present and of course no sound! any help at all is much appreciated!
