  1. He should be fine if he does not have a reaction to it. But if he does you should by some medicane in case it happens again

  2. If you guys were going to have an allergic reaction you would have had it right away not awhile later.

So I'm sure you guys are fine.

For your son though I'd suggest maybe some tylonal for pain & maybe if needed Benydryl for itching. Same for you.

If you are worried call your sons doctor.

  3. Not right now but you will want to be more careful in the future.  Each time you are stung you run the risk of having an allergic reacion. Just keep an eye on things, any excessive swelling or trouble breathing needs to be reported to your doctor.

  4. Not unless he has an allergic reaction (severe swelling, hives, trouble breathing). Your doctor can advise you on this.

  5. I have been keeping honey bees for several years now and i feel pretty confident about answering this one.

This will probably be a good test for both of you.  if you have not had a reaction by now you probably wont ever.  and by a reaction I mean a serious allergic reaction. not just some itching and swelling, that happens to everyone.

There has been some discussion about weather people become more allergic to stings over time. it is my belief that if that were the case bee keepers would not have careers of over 40 years.

Some form of benidryl or antihistamine will help with the itching and possibly the swelling if taken soon after the sting. You will receive lots of input about things like meat tenderizers, tobacco, baking soda an other topical treatments. they are all just wives tales. I have tried and none seam to work. the venom of a wasp is different than that of a honey bee. a honey bees venom is an irritant used to defend the hive while a wasps venom is used to kill its prey. My best advice is to not rub or scratch and let it run its course. it is normal for it to be sore for a couple of days

I have had stings itch and be sore for as little as a few minuets or as long as a weak

  6. Yes, if your son swells up badly, then you should take him to his doctor, and if you swell up badly also yes, you will need a epipen shot!Is your son allergic to bee stings? If he is take him right away to his doctor, but while you are on your way to his doctor, put lemon juice on the stings, its even better if you have real lemons, because it will pull the stringer out of the sting, and it will not swell any more! But take the child to his doctor anyway! Just be on the safe side.

  7. You only need an epi pen if you're allergic. Areyouor yor song having any major swelling at the areas or any trouble breathing? If not then you'll probably both be okay.
