My 5.1 Surround sound system does not work?!?! HELP?

I bought a Logitech x-540 (5.1 surround sound system) but only two out of five speakers work. My computer does have three sound plugs on the back so thats not the problem. I'm guessing its because of my crappy sound card. Any ideas on how I should fix this??

yea thats most likely your problem check the model number to make sure also make sure all your speakers are plugged in and all that stuff to,

You need to narrow down where the problem might be. Since you say you have 2 channels working I would swap the speakers one at a time and make sure all the speakers work. If they all do next I would swap the sound connectors and test everything that way. You know at least one of your connectors is working so figure out which is the good one and one by one put all 3 connectors in the jack that works. Either you will find one that's not working or the problem is indeed your sound card.

On the remote, make sure your matrix button is pushed in.  Thats the button that sends power to the rest  of the speakers.
