  1. Sounds like his teeth are not coming in right take him to the vet and have his teeth checked

try giving him a frozen bagel (plain) it is great for soothing teething puppies

I also have a beagle and he is into everything

is your puppy house trained yet? mine is 4 months and keeps messing on the rug and eats and chews everything

can I email you with more questions I would love to see photos of your puppy and send you some of mine

  2. He is whining because he wants or needs something.  Try giving him attention, letting him out to go to the bathroom, giving him food and/or fresh water, the basics.  Also, drooling is a sign of stress.  Are you ignoring your dog?

  3. Every dog drools and he whines cuz he needs something: food, water, go outside, or maybe he's not comfortable with his surroundings! Dogs tend to be scared to walk around an "unfamilliar" place!

  4. sounds like he needs to vomit and has an ill stomach which is causing him pain. I would get him to a vet in case he has eaten something toxic. Do you keep chocolate, coffee, cigarettes, chemicals or rat poison anywhere where he can get to it? Sometimes dogs eat bones/toys and they get stuck causing gut pain.

  5. Has he been chewing on sticks or anything else?

He could have a piece stuck in his mouth - you can check with a long handled spoon - be very careful, because a dog in pain might bite even someone he loves. DO NOT use your fingers, and if you can, have someone else hold the leash so as to not allow him to whip his head around.  But try not to apply pressure to his neck, just in case that is where the problem lies.

If you cannot find the cause that easily,  take him to the vet immediately - have someone else go with you, and put him in the back seat - NOT in their lap!  If he panics, he could bite them on the way - instead, put the leash around the back of the car seat, so it keeps him in the back.  Panicking dogs often try to crawl into their owner's lap, even when they're driving, and that's dangerous.

  6. He might have eaten something bad. Has he been near the garage

or cupboard where cleaning supplies and anti-freeze are stored?

Could he have swallowed a small toy?

You should take him to the vet right away.
