Question:

My 5 mth female rabbit is pulling her fur out and making nest but isn't pregnant is this a hormonal thing???

we have had her for 40 days and has been fine...the weather is warming up here so is it just molting?

  1. It sounds like a false pregnancy. She is around the age of reaching maturity, so she is getting hormones, like a teenager. Getting her spayed will help with the hormones and the false pregnancy and also extend her life: http://www.rabbit.org/faq/sections/spay-...

  3. Yes it is normal, having her fixed will stop her from doing that.

  4. It is either she has a skin problem, she is just bored, she is lonely, or she actually is pregnant.

  5. It's one of those 'phantom pregnancies'. Her hormones are raging and basically telling her she is pregnant. Spaying will fix this, without spaying she might keep doing it.
