Question:

My 5 week old Kittens....?

My 4 kittens are just over 5 weeks old and I have homes for them all when they are 8 weeks old, I'm wondering what is the best way I should do it - I don't want mommy cat to be upset.

Do I take them all away from her the same day - just like that

Do I give one away, wait a day, then give another away...so on and so on??

I really want to do it right. Please give advise on what you did, or known someone to do!?

Thank you!

  1. When i gave my kittens away i did it one at a time, so the mum didn't miss them so much.

By the time they are 8 weeks your cat will be ready to say goodbye to them.

It's harder for us to let them go.

Just give the mum lots of attention when she is left on her own,

    Good luck.

  2. i dont think that it really matters by the time that they are 8 weeks old the mother gets a bit fed up with them anyway and i dont think she even notices that their gone

  3. Its not really going to matter to the mommy cat, they are designed to let go of their offspring once they become able to eat solid food

  4. By the time they are 8 weeks old, mum cat will be pleased to be rid of them.  She will actually start to totally ignore them once they are weaned and eating solids.
