My 5 week old has a lot of boogers in her nose, what can I do?

I read a couple answers on here and it said nose saline...I have some nose saline but does it have to be the baby kind?

  1. My doctor said it didn't matter. Saline is saline. It's just salt water. Use the suction buld they gave you at the hospital, too. But be careful not to scrape her nose.  


  2. If you go to the ER, they'll give you some baby drops. Then you can suck it out with a bulb syringe. This is gonna sound super gross, but in many cultures, the mom sucks it out with her mouth. Yucky, but it works.

  3. use Ocean saline spray & suction with the bulb syringe.  this is the child's only way of breathing, so keep it clean for the next year or 2.

  4. Yes, the saline drops made for babies is mindful of their new sensitive skin, I use saline drops on my toddler.  When my youngest son was a newbie like that i would just blow into his mouth.  it sounds kinda gross but those lil booger will come right out of their nose

  5. you should go out and buy the baby saline. little noses puts it out.

    suction her nose, then put the drops in her nose.
