My 5 year old brother has bumps on his tounge, im worried what could it be?

He hasnt been talking at all for the last two days. I asked him what was wrong, and he said his tounge, and showed me a little bit of it, it looked like it had bumps on it, anyone have any ideas what this could be?

sounds like canker sores to me he can get those if he has eaten a bunch of food that has a lot of acid in it you can get an over the counter remedy for those

has he had a sore throat it could be an infection from that if it wasnt treated

Not sure. I suggest taking him to the doctor if it is hurting that much.

Does he have a fever?  Could be a virus... like chicken pox.  I had never heard of it but my daughter had it in her mouth. She was given chicken pox medication for 10 days and was fine.

it could be from too much acid, like in sodas or something, or it could be his taste buds and he got freaked out and now he wont talk. but, just google the anatomy of the tongue.
