Should I just leave him be and not worry about it? I don't want him to get made fun of at school.

  1. "this is how it done son..... stand, aim, pee, shake. done now you're a man!

  2. haha train him to stand up

tell him you will give him a cookie or something

if he does stand up all time

maybe he will get in the habit of it

  3. I doo it myself too and tell the boys to do it also:no mess on thefloor etc.

    Planets.

  4. lol, thats okay! he probably feels more comfortable that way and it will probably just be a phase... once he starts attending school and sees the other boys standing up, im sure he will follow, because no one wants to be different... i say just let him be... but if he doesnt grow out of the phase in years to ocme, then maybe u can talk to him

  5. Leave his alone ( less mess to clean ) He will when older want to change. When he see other boy standing to pee

  6. take the toilet seat off lol.

  7. I would fear him being made fun of at school as well but i really so no problem with him sitting.  I prefer to sit most of the time but that's because i'm pierced.

i've heard the cheerios game works very well.  give it a shot.

  8. Thats fine at his age, just leave him, he'll grow out of it soon, and start standing up to do it, its not likely that kids at school will see him on the toilet, so he should be fine with that.

  9. just tell your kid wat the h**l is up. your the DAD for a reason.

to keep em masculine but a good person

  10. Make him stand i know he is young but he is breaking the Man Laws at a very young age.

  11. Lots of guys do that. I do esp at night so I don't have to turn on a light or worry about aiming in the dark.

  12. Just leave him.

When he is older he will probably stand up.

I expect when you take him to public toilets and he sees other men standing up he will want to do it like everyone else.

  13. I encouraged all three of my sons to sit down to pee otherwise the floor would get soaked. No one ever made fun of them.

  14. If he is in a stall, they won't know if he is peeing or doing more.  Seriously though, this should be the least of your worries.  For some reason people think its masculine or manly to pee standing up, talk about sheep mentality.  I do it because its convenient.  If you have told him to try standing up and he prefers to sit down then let him, don't give him a complex.

  15. LOL~~~ lots of people do this and in some households with all women I know some that do it out of respect for the ladies in the house.... But for my boys we had them pee on cherrios Yep make it fun and a game..... we started that at age 2 though and was over it by 2 1/2 yrs old....

  16. Leave the kid alone and let him pee the way he wants.  If the other kids make fun of him and he still does it, then you have a young man with a mind of his own who says "to h**l with convention".

Even when you aim it's no guarantee that you'll always hit the target.  Have you ever cleaned the bathroom floor in a house full of men?

I agree with him, it's easier, especially when you get up during the night.

  17. I'm a grown man and I prefer to sit down when I pee. Unless I'm in public and stand up at a traditional stall, I think it's easier to just sit down at home, plus in case if it splashes or gets on the commode, I'd rather just flush it. I see nothing wrong with sitting down. As he gets older he'll be more comfortable standing when he has to.

  18.   Tom  Hello  The A Give him cookie? Were not training a cat / dog. The point here is the lesson was given and learned.  Give him credit for being neat & not peeing on the seat or floor.  Great job Dad.

  19. Leave him be and don't worry about it.  I seriously doubt anyone will see him in school unless he takes someone into the stall with him. I lived with a man for 2 years who always sat when peeing and I saw nothing wrong with it.  Standing up to pee doesn't make you more of a man. Just don't make a big deal out of it and he might outgrow it.
