Really i dont want people to criticize or make fun of but seriously my son will not go p**p with his clothes on he has to take all of them off i mean all of them hes terrified he will get p**p on them i dont know how to help him get over this. He has always been like this but i thought he would grow outta it but when i tell him his teacher aint goin to button his shirts and stuff for him he says so i just wont go at school but this isnt normal what should i do? He has tried to go with his clothes on but just cant he thinks about it too much and just cant go if he has his clothes on also he always wants me to make sure all the p**p is off his butt b4 he will put his clothes back on i just dont know what to do!! He will just sit in the bathroom for as long as he has to until i come make sure his butt is clean enuf , he gets himself dressed and undressed but this is a real problem!!!

  1. This sounds like he may need some help--it could be an obsessive compulsive behavior. Why not take him to therapy and try getting him to go to the bathroom with his shirt on and wipe himself? Get the wet wipes (Kandoo) and let him go at it. Teachers don't wipe butts. Put him in clothes that don't have buttons if that's a major concern.

  2. I would just let the teachers know and not worry too much about it. Children all have different "phobias" and preferences. The teacher will deal with it just as if he were afraid of spiders. The teacher is trained to deal with all sorts of different situations and this is not that big of a deal. He is potty trained and wipes himself, so this is not too awful.

I also think that once he gets to school he may see that other children do not take off their clothes when they p**p, and he may decide not to do it anymore. Or he may continue, but that is not the worst habit in the world. At least he wants to be clean...talk to his teacher though, I am sure she will ease your mind. (And if he needs help in the bathroom, she will help him)

  3. Lol..My 6 year old used to be the same way..Anytime she went to p**p she took all of her clothes off.. I dont know why..but anyways she went through 5k last year and that habit just stopped once she started..I wouldnt worry about it..I would just let the teacher know, and hopefully after a few weeks at school he will stop..good luck=)

  4. I'm not sure exactly what I would do.  I just don't know.  I suppose you could holler at him and force him to do it himself, but if you could find another solution, I would.  I don't know if force would work in his case anyway.  From what you say this just seems to be the way he has come to believe is the right way to do it.  Good luck and God bless.
