My 5 yr old is taking imipram hcl 25 mg and is that going to delay her in school.?

My 5 year old has been on this for 8 months now due to migraines so severe that she was vomiting, numbness in arms and double vision. They were becoming more and more frequent, from every 3 months to every 3 weeks. We had all the tests done for tumors, and did a 3 day study at the hospital. The doctor prescribed this medication at 10mg before bedtime and we are migraine free!!!!
We do not believe in medicating children!
She has done well in school.The doctor is slowly taking her off the medication hoping that the chemical in balance has corrected itself. We stay outside a lot during the summer time and have had no reaction to it(she is fair skinned too).
